Houses indicating CO2 level reduction

The cheapest way is to take advantage of modernisation projects and improve energy efficiency each time the building is renovated.

If buildings undergoing refurbishment were also brought up to modern energy standards, money would be saved in energy costs, thermal comfort would be improved and jobs would be created.  At the same time, greenhouse gas emissions would be reduced by approximately 400 million tones of CO2 per year across Europe - almost all of Europe's total Kyoto commitment.

This year alone, the insulation products produced by Rockwool will save more than 200 million tonnes of CO2.  Rockwool insulation is also completely recyclable and can be re-smelted and spun into new stone wool insulation rolls and panels.

Rockwool insulation relies upon trapped air for its thermal properties, which has neither ozone depleting nor global warming potential. By specifying Rockwool, you are playing a major part in helping to protect our precious planet.
