Solid walls and cavity walls can also be insulated by applying internal wall insulation, enhancing the effectiveness of both types.
How internal wall insulation works
Rockliner boards consist of 12.5mm plasterboard backed with 50mm Rockwool insulation up to a total thickness of 62.5mm. The construction of the laminates reduces the amount of heat which would otherwise pass through into the wall and outside.
Acoustic benefits
As well as helping to reduce the heat loss through walls, use of RockLiner can effectively prevent flanking sound transmission for a more comfortable internal environment reducing noise pollution.
